Beta Testing

Beta Testing of a product is performed by real users of the software application in a production environment and can be considered as a form of external User Acceptance Testing, ts like rolling out your product early to the customers for their feedback. Beta testing reduces failure risks and provides increased quality through customer validation. It is the final test before shipping a product to the customers. Direct feedback from customers is a major advantage of Beta Testing. This testing helps to test through customer's eye.

Types of Beta Testing

Traditional Beta testing:

Product is distributed to the target customers or regions, and the related feedback and test output is gathered. This data can be used for Product improvement.

Technical Beta Testing:

Product is released to the internal group of an organization like selected few or all employees and gather feedback/data from their usage.

Focused Beta:

Post-release Beta:

Product is released to the market and output is gathered to make improvements for the future releases of the product.
